Broster Buchanan are excited to be looking for a Growing Finance Manager to join a global business based in Cambridge. The role;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations, ensuring alignment to the functional and organisational goals.
  • Design and implement strategies to accelerate and enhance the accuracy of the month-end close process while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements
  • Manage Direct Reports and their teams, monitoring performance, providing feedback, addressing capability issues
  • Ensure career development and training is in place across the team with clear succession plans and resource rotations to facilitate the team growth.
  • The main focal point of the function for managing finance transition projects and continuous improvement projects which impact the  function. Management of the projects includes but not limited to planning, resourcing, knowledge transfer, readiness assessment and issue resolution.
  • Lead, monitor and improve the performance and efficiency of the  function using the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and associated reports
You;
  • Finance Professional qualification
  • Proven experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role within a finance shared service centre
  • Experience of leading and managing a team including team development and career management
  • In-depth knowledge of Finance processes, including controls and compliance requirements
  • Proven track record of using KPI’s to improve performance
  • Able to operate comfortably at a detailed as well as a strategic level.
