A core value for this business is making people feel like they belong, this extends across the business for the staff they employ and the clients that they work with, the role of Finance Manager will be on a 10 month fixed term contract to cover a sabbatical, they will be looking for the contract to start in November. Based on the outskirts of Cambridge this role offers hybrid working which is 3 days in the office and two from home. Reporting into the Finance Director this role will be responsible for the following duties - - Reviewing cashflow and prepare forecasts- Prepare monthly management accounts- Calculate and reconcile the VAT return- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations - Maintain P&L revenue schedules, controlling deferred and accrued revenue- Coordinate and manage the payroll through the payroll bureau- Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances- Provide information to the external accountants for preparation of annual financial statements and audit. - Monitor the accounting function and financial systems- Line management of an Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate must have good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices and proven experience in the above mentioned tasks.
