A highly respected practice based on the outskirts of Cambridge requires a Financial Accounts Manager, in what is viewed as a progressive role and forms part of the practice succession plan.

The Financial Accounts Manager will oversee a portfolio of clients, collaborating closely with them to explain tax and accounting issues, providing tailored advice, utilising your technical expertise on regulations, processes and systems. Beyond that, you will play a crucial role in the long-term development of the practice and the accounts function.

Key areas of focus:

  • Prepare and review accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Assist in the preparation of corporation tax returns, business tax computation and personal tax
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to clients, and supporting any queries
  • Involvement in the development of internal processes and systems

What we are looking for:

  • A qualified professional (ACA, ICAEW, ACCA or similar) with previous accounts experience from within a practice as a Senior Accountant, Supervisor or Assistant Manager
  • Robust technical working knowledge of FRS102 and FRS 105
  • IT skills including Excel and any accounting software (Xero, IRIS, QuickBooks, Sage, etc)
  • An organised and proactive attitude with the ability to work under initiative
