Polytec are looking for an Operations and Finance Manager to support our client's business growth. This role is crucial in managing both financial operations and logistics, ensuring smooth order fulfilment from customer purchase orders to shipping finished products. You'll oversee procurement, inventory, invoicing, payroll, and compliance, while also strengthening team communication and administrative processes.
Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
* Oversee procurement and inventory to prevent downtime.
* Manage shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, customs forms, etc.).
* Identify and implement process improvements for operations and finance.
Financial Management:
* Handle accounts payable and receivable, working with accountants to ensure timely payments.
* Prepare, send and track invoices.
* Assist with payroll processing.
Administrative and Team Support:
* Act as a key point of contact between departments to ensure cohesion.
* Maintain financial records, vendor contracts and compliance documentation.
* Ensure adherence to UK, EU and US regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* 3+ years in operations and/or finance.
* Familiarity with purchasing, inventory, shipping logistics and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in accounting tools (e.g. Xero), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and MRP software (a plus).
* Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
* Ability to collaborate across teams and interact with external stakeholders.
