Personal Tax Senior / Assistant Manager

We’re working with a fantastic, well-established accountancy firm, seeking a Personal Tax Senior / Assistant Manager to join their close-knit tax team. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a strong background in personal tax to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, with ongoing support from a friendly, experienced team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs (EIS/SEIS/VCT), landlords, and self-employed clients.
  • Handling personal tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Engaging with clients on tax matters such as IHT, CGT, Trusts, and property structures.
  • Working on complex matters like HMRC enquiries, disclosures, and CGT returns.
  • Advising clients on a broad range of tax planning issues, including employee share options, internationally mobile individuals, and more.
  • Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff and having the opportunity to be involved in client meetings and calls.

What we’re looking for:

  • A solid background in personal tax, ideally with experience managing your own portfolio.
  • A relevant professional qualification (ATT, CIOT) or equivalent practical experience.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A keen eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
