I am working alongside a blue chip Tier 1 main contractor who operate across both the construction and civil sectors. Due to an increase in contracts being awarded they are looking to onboard a General foreman for upcoming highway and infrastructure schemes being delivered.
General foreman responsibilities:
- Working alongside and reporting to the project manager.
- Managing and allocating plant, labour and materials.
- Site supervision.
- Management of direct labour and subcontractors.
- Completing site inductions.
- Site diaries.
- Attending meetings with project management teams.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Liasing with the client.
General foreman responsibilities:
- Right to work in the UK.
- CSCS card - Gold/ Black.
- NVQ level 3 or above.
- SSSTS/ SMSTS.
- First aid.
- TWC - Desirable.
- Safety critical medical.
- HW passport - we can assist.
- Previous experience in a general foreman role.
- Previous experience with highways and structures.
- Full UK driving licence.
