Import/Export Controller, Cambridge, £30,000

Role purpose

As Import/Export Controller you’ll become a pivotal member of the Supply Chain team in processing shipments to and from global customers.

As Import/Export Controller you'll:

  • Process shipments to and from global customers
  • Maintain adherence to import and export procedures and controls
  • Audit import declarations to ensure compliance with HRMC procedures
  • Resolve queries with shipments right through to completion
  • Constantly monitor production schedules to ensure timely collections to meet with agreed customer schedules
  • Negotiate with carriers to ensure the most cost effective shipment methods

 As Import/Export Controller you’ll have:

  • Nautral ability to self-manage and be proactive
  • Prior experience of logistics compliance
  • Knowledge of stock movement transactions 
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office programs including Excel
  • Good customer service and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A methodical, analytic and process driven approach to work 
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines, within a fast-paced environment
