We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an ARIA Fellowship Coordinator with previous project management experience,excellent administration, coordination and communication skills.
Working as the ARIA Fellowship Coordinator you will be responsible for the co-ordination of up to six Fellows annually, conducting their individual 12-month fellowships. You will be required to work effectively with other colleagues ensuring the Fellow is supported at their respective host organisation and is fully equipped with laboratory and technical enablers in addition to appropriate mentor networks.
As the ARIA Fellowship Coordinator you will be responsible for scheduling meetings, organising papers, contracts and invoices for Fellows hosted on site within the communal science laboratories, and will be required to work effectively with the LiveLabs team to ensure all training records are up to date for the smooth running of the Fellows’ research endeavours.

DUTIES
Your duties as an ARIA Fellowship Coordinator will include:
- Administration of the fellowship programme
- Co-ordination of up to six Activator Fellows annually, conducting their individual 12 month fellowships, even if the Fellow is conducting their research activities at a Host organisation laboratory
- Coordinating appropriate and timely project reporting, invoicing and financial controls as provided by the Fellow. Scheduling meetings, organising papers, contracts and invoices as required
- Ensure training records for each Fellow are up to date, irrespective of where the Fellow is hosted. This will require collaborative working with equivalent roles at other organisations
- Coordinate activities and scheduling to support the delivery of a neurotech workstream within the programme on an annual basis
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Relevant undergraduate degree in the life sciences or other qualification with an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training
- Experience of working with diverse stakeholders internally and externally
- Project Management experience
- Experience of coordinating contracts and invoices
- Can work under pressure and to tight timelines
- Ability to work across a matrix management structure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Use of Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other packages
Desirable
- PRINCE2 (or equivalent project management qualification)
- Coordinating collaborative research programmes that span academia and industry
- Experience of undertaking scientific research
- Knowledge of translational research within the life science and biotechnology sector
- Knowledge of business development and creation of value from academic research
