HSEF Manager | Cambridge | £55,000 DOE

Are you a highly skilled and experienced HSEF Manager, motivated by contributing towards a better working environment for both people and the planet?  A leading company in the engineering sector is seeking a dedicated professional to effectively manage the Health, Safety, Environment, and Facilities (HSEF) team at their Cambridge site.  This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to strive for organisational compliance and have an impact on the business, ensuring they meet Health and Safety at Work Regulations.

As HSEF Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, and facilities regulations
  • Overseeing site maintenance, statutory testing, and critical production breakdowns
  • Liaising with stakeholders, and enforcement officers, and manage site cleaning and security
  • Investigating serious injuries, implement preventative measures, and manage Legionella
  • Providing expert advice, deliver HSE training, and conduct staff inductions
  • Developing and implementing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Risk Assessments
  • Updating HSE manuals, policies, and business continuity plans
  • Managing ESOS, SECR, and waste packaging compliance

As HSEF Manager, your skills and experience will include:

  • A minimum of 5 years in an HSEF management role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience with ISO 14001 standards
  • NEBOSH Diploma/equivalent in Health and Safety
  • Environmental qualification
  • Auditing qualification
  • Engineering apprenticeship or mechanical/electrical disciplines
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
