We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications Expert for a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. You will play a crucial role in supporting global HR initiatives, helping to drive strategic communications across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Career & Development: Lead communication efforts for global learning initiatives, including leadership development and essential HR processes like skills and staffing.
  • Global Recognition Program: Create and manage communications for the rollout of a new recognition platform.
  • Employee Listening: Support key employee engagement activities, such as Great Place to Work, Q12, and Your Voice Matters surveys.
  • Performance & Rewards: Develop content that promotes engagement with performance reviews, rewards, and promotion periods.
  • HR Corporate Function Communications: Provide communications support during the transition of HR leadership roles.
Deliverables:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive communication plans.
  • Create and publish internal social media posts.
  • Draft internal newsletter messages for the daily newsletter email.
  • Oversee and review content with the writing team.
  • Design and edit internal presentation slides.
  • Write creative briefs for the internal brand team.
  • Analyze and report on data using Power BI and other tools.
About You:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in internal communications within a corporate or government environment, ideally in professional services.
  • Skills:
    • Strong editorial, written, and verbal communication skills (50%).
    • Project management and organizational abilities (30%).
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (20%).
    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams.
    • Expertise with communication tools (Microsoft Office, Teams, Viva Engage).
Tech Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like MS Teams and Viva Engage.
  • Experience or willingness to learn Power BI.
  • Some experience with CMS tools (SharePoint, WordPress).


This is an 12 months contract role inside IR35, hourly pay, based in Cambridge UK.
