An long term contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highways NEC Supervisor to work on a major highways project in the Cambridge area. You will be required to work 40 hour weeks Monday to Friday on site. Working collaboratively within an integrated delivery team as NEC Supervisor, you will be responsible for the below. This position falls inside IR35, CIS is an option.

The role
聽
路Undertaking the duties of Supervisor as stated in the Contract (NEC 4 ECC)
路Acquainting yourself with the schemes design and raising queries with regards to constructability in terms of safety and quality
路Reviewing the Inspection and Test Plans to agree witnessing requirements
路Witnessing on-site testing and commissioning and keeping appropriate records of results
路Identification and notification of any Defects in accordance with the Contract
路Verifying the standards of work and the materials supplied by the contractor are as specified in accordance with the Contract
路Monitoring the progress of the works providing advice to the Client Project Manager of any risks and issues
路Submitting reports on a weekly basis to the Client Project Manager to advise on progress and the status of construction related safety, quality and completion issues
路Maintaining appropriate records of site inspections, tests and audits
路Attending meetings and inspections, both on and off site as required
路As part of the integrated delivery team you will be expected to contribute to:
路Maintaining high standards of safety and quality control on the contract via the monitoring of the construction works
路Resolution of technical problems on site
路Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting and collaborating with the integrated delivery team to form strong working relationships

Qualifications/Experience

路NEC4 ECC Supervisor Accreditation
路Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related disciplines
路Experience of the design and construction of highway infrastructure projects
路Good writing, client-facing and communication skills
路Diligent, proactive and thorough approach to detail
路Collaborative and practical approach to problem solving
路Knowledge of the Design Manual Road and Bridges and Specification for Highway Works
路Experience in carrying out duties of NEC supervisor
路Working knowledge of the NEC Contract
