Temporary Vacancy – PA

Location: Cambridge, CB3 (some working from home)

Duration: Until Jan 2025

Hourly rate: £17.45 (£19.56 including holiday pay)

Hours: Full time, 36.5 hours per week

This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the College President and the Fellowship, ensuring smooth coordination across various College departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist the President in executing their role, manage correspondence, and handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Fellowship Coordination: Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of Fellows, including liaising with HR, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and other departments.
  • Event Management: Organize key College events such as the St Mary Magdalene Feast, Presidential Guest Nights, and public lectures.
  • Communication: Manage the College calendar, update the Fellows’ Information Guide, and draft the weekly President’s Newsletter.
  • Project Management: Coordinate the Junior Research Fellowship competition, including drafting job descriptions, managing applications, and arranging interviews.

Person Specification:

  • Experience: Project management, event coordination, high-level PA support, diary management, and handling high volumes of correspondence.
  • Skills: Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, Google Calendar), strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Due to the nature of this position, we require candidates who can start by the 11th November.
