This is an opportunity for a Scientific Patent & Business Analyst to join the team.

The Scientific background here is crucial.

You'll be working closely with key stakeholders, your role will be to deliver business intelligence to guide the research and innovation teams, by developing patent search strategies, carry out output analysis and use visualisation tools to clearly communicate this.

You will gather your BI through non-patent sources and, essentially, identify start-up companies to partner with.

To be successful you will have… ?

  • Ideally, a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or Biochemistry or relevant work experience in a research position
  • The desire and curiosity to understand technology areas outside of your comfort zone
  • Ideally, some patent searching experience, or the understanding of how it works; how to build accurate and succinct datasets; extract the insights and communicate the results
  • ?Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences
  • The mind for creative and inventive problem-solving
