We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join our team, providing daily support to various secondary schools around the Cambridge area. This role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work in a range of educational settings. Ideal candidates will have a passion for education and the ability to manage classroom activities effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher and ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting students with their work and providing support where necessary.
  • Following the school’s policies and procedures to create a safe and structured environment.
  • Liaising with teaching staff to provide feedback on student progress and classroom sessions.
  • Adapting to varying educational settings and age groups, maintaining professionalism and a commitment to quality education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a classroom setting or working with secondary school-aged students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to lead a group of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility to work with different classes and subject areas.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • QTS/PGCE qualifications are desirable and will reflect in the pay rate.
