Our company is an independent, UK-based international group with a strong design and manufacturing presence, and distribution centers worldwide.We are expanding our UK R&D team in Cambridge and seeking a hands-on engineer passionate about design and problem-solving. As a Senior RF Design Engineer, you will support the design, development and continuous improvement of innovative communications products. Design RF subsystems, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver cutting-edge communication solutions.
RF Engineering Skills / Requirements:
- Design of discrete components, ideally sub 1GHz.
- Competent industrial experience in RF design (UHF/VHF focused)
- Proficient in RF design, with exposure to power supplies, battery technologies, amplifiers, filtering, discrete component design, digital electronics, and PCB layout principles.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve production issues using laboratory equipment and collaborate with factory and test teams.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Creative thinker who can adapt and propose alternative solutions.
- Additional desirable skills include: LabVIEW, Python, C / C++, EMI / EMC knowledge, RF design of transmitters, receivers, PLLs, etc.
