SHEQ Advisor
Our client, a prominent leader in the power utilities sector, is seeking a skilled SHEQ Advisor to ensure the highest standards of health and safety compliance across various power distribution and energy projects. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity for individuals dedicated to safety in the high-stakes energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting safety audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Facilitating inductions and toolbox talks (TBT) briefings to promote safety awareness
- Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures
- Reviewing and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Ensuring compliance with regulations such as PAT Testing & NERS / ISO standards
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site, with regular visits to project locations across the UK
- Providing first aid and emergency response training to team members
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of health and safety standards in the utilities, Highways or Civil Engineering sector
- CSCS card and CITB Health & Safety Awareness certification
- Emergency First Aid qualification
- IOSH certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with NEBOSH certification, auditing, and mental health first aid (desirable)
