Tax Manager Cambridge Salary £50,000 - £65,000

A forward-thinking Cambridge-based firm of accountants is recruiting a skilled Tax Manager to join its tax team. This role will involve managing a team working on personal tax with a strong international flavour.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse client portfolio.
  • Prepare and review annual accounts and tax returns.
  • Oversee VAT returns, R&D tax credit calculations, and other statutory year-end processes.
  • Develop budgets, cash flow forecasts, and consolidated group accounts.
  • Mentor junior team members to ensure high standards of client satisfaction.

Personal Requirements

  • CTA qualified.
  • Minimum 3 years in a dynamic accounting practice, with proven expertise in tax, financial reporting, and client management.
  • Proficient in software such as IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and TaxCalc.
  • Someone who enjoys being pro-active and challenging themself to find solutions.
  • A good communicator both written and verbal.
  • Very organised, able to prioritise work and adhere to deadlines.
