Pure are delighted to be working in partnership with the University of Cambridge with the recruitment of a Workstream Projects Lead role. This role is being recruited as a 2.5 year, fixed term contract.The Workstream Projects Lead provides project management expertise for the Finance System Replacement (FSR) Project within the Finance Division. The role ensures effective project coordination, planning, risk management, and implementation, working across multiple workstreams including Research, Estates, Business, and technical areas such as integration and data migration.Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain governance structures, defining roles and responsibilities within the project
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring successful integration into business operations
  • Develop and manage project documentation, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement, and manage interdependencies across workstreams
  • Oversee daily activities, stakeholder communications, and change management
  • Ensure project quality management and compliance with governance protocols
Staff & Resources Management:
  • Supervises a team of six staff members and oversees contractors
  • Manages resources necessary for program implementation and delivery
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in managing workstreams within software development or SaaS projects
  • Knowledge of Cloud Finance ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to adapt project management approaches to meet dynamic delivery needs
  • Effective communication and risk management skills
Qualifications:
  • Degree-level education (essential)
  • Accounting qualification (desirable).
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in client-facing roles and managing third-party suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You will play a critical part in ensuring successful project outcomes, stakeholder alignment, and seamless transition to new financial systems.This role is offered on a hybrid basis, you will be in the office three days per week.
