HAYS Marketing is proud to be working in partnership with a commercial organisation which delivers a range of environmental and waste management services.

They have an exciting opportunity and are looking to appoint a talented senior Communications & Engagement Lead to spearhead their communication efforts to drive impactful engagement both internally and externally.As the Communications & Engagement Lead, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies and work closely with the Communications and Senior Leadership Teams to ensure their messaging is consistent and impactful. Essential criteria you will have:

?Strong commercial acumen with extensive experience within Internal and Employee Communications (External Comms is an advantage)?Be able to implement and deliver effective strategic communications plans that engage with an 'offline population'?Have proven line management experience of successfully managing high-performing teams ?Extensive internal and external stakeholder and relationship management experience ?Willing to travel across the UK (this is essential)?Resilience - being able to work in an environment where there is a lot of 'red tape' and governance ?Commercial sector experience. They are seeking candidates who have ideally worked for either a Waste, Utilities, Energy, Engineering/Sustainability or Construction company.

The candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Possess strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of business operations.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think 'outside the box'.
  • Have excellent writing and editorial skills.
  • Bring extensive experience in internal communications and public affairs
  • Strong media skills and experience with employee communications.
  • Knowledge of political communications is an advantage.
