We are seeking a Maths & Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Teacher to join our partnered SEN School based in Cambridge for a fixed-term position this Summer Term, with the potential for a permanent role starting in September! This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and rewarding setting.

About the Summer Term Role:

  • Fixed-term contract covering a diverse and engaging timetable:

* 6 KS3 ICT sessions per week (45-minute lessons)

* 12 KS3 Maths lessons per week (45-minute lessons)

* 6 sessions covering a Year 6 primary class (three afternoons per week)

  • Lead a Year 8 class as a 'link teacher' similar to a form tutor, providing pastoral support alongside teaching them Maths.
  • Collaborate with dedicated Teaching Assistants permanently assigned to each class (maximum of 8 learners per class).
  • Deliver engaging lessons including food technology and humanities topics for the Year 6 primary class, utilizing existing resources and planning materials.

About the Permanent Position (September Onward):

  • Permanent contract with a focus on secondary teaching:

* 9 ICT sessions across Years 7-9 (45-minute lessons)

* KS3 Maths teaching plus potential for 1:1 Maths interventions.

  • Lead a linked class with dedicated pastoral time for tutoring and support.
  • Collaboration with the KS2 Maths lead to ensure a smooth transition for students from primary to secondary education.
  • Work closely with the Maths department to deliver a high-quality curriculum and support student progress.
