Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with experience in supporting students' learning? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely mainstream primary school in Cambridge.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs. Your role will be to assist the student both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring they have access to a full and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with specific learning needs
- Support the student's academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist with classroom activities, following the teacher's guidance
- Help with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Monitor and track the student's progress and report any concerns to the class teacher
- Support the student with their personal care needs (if required)
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff to ensure the student's success
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Has a strong understanding of supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and patience
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work on their own initiative
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)
- Has an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
