We are working with a local SEND school on the outskirts of Cambridge to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to work with SEND pupils in this unique specialist provision.

About the role

When working in a SEND provision, the learning goes beyond completing work in the classroom. You will have the opportunity to offer pastoral based support to the pupils you work with, helping them with the different aspects of their daily life, ranging from emotional support to help with learning things such as life skills to help them outside of school.

This is a newly developed SEND provision that offers a supportive and welcoming environment with multiple opportunities for additional training available.

To be considered for the role of Special Needs Teaching Assistant you will:

  • To have knowledge or an interest in working with SEND pupils

Salary

£415 to £465 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • To hold a DBS on the update service, or be willing to process one with us
  • To have previous experience working with children and/or young people
