I am working with one of Cambridge's oldest and most prestigious College's in their search for a House Porter. Working as part of the Housekeeping team and alongside their repairs and maintenance departments, you will undertake a variety of tasks day to day across the College rooms and premises. Duties are likely to includeLight cleaning dutiesSetting up of rooms for meetings and conferencesMoving furniture around the site as neededOverseeing window and carpet cleaning Rubbish collection and disposalMinor maintenance tasks/repairsYour skills and abilities are likely to include;

  • Practical/hands-on
  • Good organisation of workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to the work of the team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with students and staff
  • Clean driving licence is a preference, but not a requirement

The hours of work are 7am - 3pm with a half an hour lunch break.
