O'Neill & Brennan is a leading recruitment firm with over 30 years of excellence in the construction industry and a turnover exceeding £100m. We are excited to expand our presence in Cambridge and are seeking a dynamic Labour Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued growth. 

In this key role, you will focus on blue-collar construction recruitment, particularly freelance opportunities. As part of our Cambridge office, you will manage candidate generation, build strong relationships with operatives, and ensure full compliance. You will have access to ready-made job opportunities, allowing you to hit the ground running and play a crucial part in our strategic growth plans. 

Responsibilities. 

  • Liaising with operatives and account managers to match candidates to roles. 
  • Updating and managing our database and hiring tools. 

  • Ensuring operatives comply with HMRC and CSCS regulations. 

  • Handling client communications regarding timesheets and inquiries. 

What We're Looking For. 

No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. If you're confident, resilient, and great at building rapport—and you're not afraid to throw on a hard hat and work boots—keep reading! 

  • Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in person. 

  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and our in-house system (training provided). 

  • A clean driving license and a willingness to travel between sites (company car provided). 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and team members.
