Human Resources Advisor

Reed Business Support in Cambridge is working with a local client. They are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Advisor to join their HR team, providing exceptional HR services across the business. This role involves leading, advising, and supporting on all HR issues within designated areas of the business, ensuring alignment with their organisational objectives and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Forge strong relationships with managers to effectively implement HR policies and foster a culture of supportive and challenging leadership.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate the recruitment, selection, induction, and probation processes, supporting managers and implementing strategies for filling challenging vacancies.
- Case Management: Advise on absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes, and ensure compliance with legal and organisational standards.
- Change Management: Facilitate HR implications in restructuring and TUPE transfers, maintaining compliance and support throughout changes.
- Compliance and Development: Stay updated with employment law and further education developments, ensuring HR activities remain compliant. Support staff development initiatives and contribute to HR projects as required.
- Data Protection: Maintain confidentiality and compliance with the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.
- Safeguarding: Ensure continuous compliance with safeguarding requirements, including maintaining the Single Central Record and coordinating safeguarding training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in Human Resources.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and further education sector developments.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and proficiency in HR systems.
- Qualifications: Relevant degree or professional qualification in Human Resources (e.g., CIPD).
