Hexwired have partnered with an exciting electronics manufacturer in the Cambridge area who are looking for a new member of their experienced engineering team. They are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background and a couple of years of experience in a software engineering setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, coding, and testing of embedded software for high speed electronics devices and systems.
  • Collaborate with digital hardware engineers to integrate embedded software and firmware.
  • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems, focusing on signal processing and communication protocols.
  • Develop and optimize low-level drivers, real-time systems, and communication stacks for wireless applications.
  • Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and design discussions.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree or above in Maths, Physics, Computer Science or related technical subject.
  • At least 3 As at A-Level.
  • Experience with C, C++, Python or other related programming languages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and development processes.
  • Good communication skills for documenting and discussing technical details with the engineering team.

Desired:

  • Software engineering experience in an industrial or research setting.
  • Understanding of wireless systems.
