I’m seeking a 1st Line Support Technician on behalf of a cutting-edge biotech company in Cambridge. This is a fantastic interim opportunity, with the potential to go permanent.Please not this role is full-time on site in Cambridge.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1st line IT support for circa 130 users.
  • Log and manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely responses and solutions.
  • Set up and configure new user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, password resets, and access requests.
  • Escalate more complex issues to Senior IT Engineer / IT Manager
  • Support staff with common applications such as Office 365 and various applications.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that technical support is delivered efficiently and professionally.
Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in a 1st line IT support role.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking and hardware setup.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and basic troubleshooting of software and hardware.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Proactive, with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
