Junior Application Support Engineer (Windows 1st / 2nd line) Cambridge / WFH to £35k

Are you a bright, enthusiastic Support Engineer with excellent communication skills?

You could be progressing your career at one of the worlds' most respected educational establishments.

As a Junior Application Support Engineer you'll join a small team responsible for supporting users with a range of queries, acting as the first point of contact for receiving and handling requests. You'll provide 1st and 2nd line support, investigating and diagnosing issues in systems, processes and services, becoming an SME.

You will also have the opportunity to work on project based work including gathering requirements for software development, automation testing and database management - you'll be mentored and supported to progress your career with continual learning and self development opportunities.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time but must be easily commutable to Cambridge as you will occasionally need to attend onsite meetings or resolve issues.

About you:

  • You have a good knowledge of common operating systems: Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android
  • You have experience of supporting IT systems / software applications
  • You have excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • You have an analytical mindset and enjoy problem solving
  • You're familiar with SQL databases and ideally have some scripting / coding skills
