Spinwell is recruiting for a Network Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE NETWORK ENGINEER

  • Infrastructure Support of the telephony network and pager systems plus all CAB rooms and the Addenbrookes Data Centre Environment
  • Estates Business Service (EBS) Support IT for Capital, Estates and Facilities
  • Operations Contact Centre handling inbound and outbound for the hospital
  • Service Delivery Projects
  • Administration Supporting all teams

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE NETWORK ENGINEER

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Configure telephony systems Including IVRs and queueing functions
  • Provision telephony where required including jumpering and re-routing of cabling between wiring centres
  • Troubleshoot faults within telephony/paging services and the supporting hardware VoIP and Analogue
  • Support the CAB room and Data Centre Environments, including monitoring via Jacarta
  • Customer advice and support ISTM knowledge or a comparable problem/incident management system.
  • Safe configuration of operationally critical systems and applications
  • Have the ability to show empathy and understanding to end users
  • Liaise confidently & professionally with internal and external 3rd parties
  • Undertake 1st, 2ndand 3rd line system, software and hardware support enquires.
  • Provide quality, customer focussed support to the Infrastructure service desk at all times

    Technical Process Knowledge:
  • Incident Management Manage incidents effectively and provide 1st time fixes where possible
  • Problem Management Identify trends to look at resolving root causes of incident
  • Change Management Understands and has used RFC processes previously
  • Continuous Improvement eg identify areas that could benefit from IVR reviews or creation
  • SLA management Works to the pre-defined service levels and understands prioritisation
  • Project management Framework knowledge (Prince2/ Agile)
  • Work with support agencies and 3rd parties to resolve incidents and problems
  • Liaise with Senior Managers
  • Comply with Trust information governance standards
