We are seeking an accomplished Head of Data Strategy and Architecture to take ownership of our enterprise-wide data strategy, aligning it with business objectives to fuel innovation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. As a critical leader within our organisation, you will act as the architect and steward of our data strategy, ensuring it is embedded into our culture and operational framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the evolution of the enterprise-wide data strategy and roadmap, securing buy-in from senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain the data architecture practice, including strategic and transitional architectures.
- Oversee and mentor the Data Architecture team, driving their professional development and expanding organisational data capabilities.
- Own and govern the architectural processes for data-related change.
- Chair the Data Council, leading the design and implementation of robust data governance policies.
- Define and uphold the data strategy and architecture principles that guide the organisations mission.
Your profile:
- Data Architecture & Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data architecture, governance frameworks, and a deep understanding of data technologies and platforms.
- System Integration: Familiarity with enterprise-level systems and cloud-based solutions, with the ability to drive advancements through emerging technologies.
- Industry-Specific Insight: Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices to align data strategy with business objectives.
- Team Leadership & Development: Experience with career development frameworks like SFIA, guiding a team of data professionals towards long-term growth.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: A strong ability to think strategically, manage capital investments, and adapt the data strategy to emerging trends and organisational goals.
