AWS Solution Architect

AWS solution Architect with strong proficiency in AWS Cloud platforms and associated services is needed to work for a unique international education service client to provide solution design expertise across digital products and services.

The AWS Solution Architect will focus on supporting across shared cross partner applications within customer master data store and on site hosted applications

The AWS Solution Architect will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, Architecture Forum and Delivery Leads, the post-holder will help shape emerging work and will ensure business requirements are rationalised and translated into effective solution designs.

AWS Solution Architect-Essential Experience

  • Software architecture and design skills,  to create and document the high-level structure and behaviour of the IT solution, using the appropriate standards, patterns, and principles (Microservices, integration patterns and techniques)
  • Excellent Cloud Technologies skills:  Highly Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS) and associated services.
  • Experience with software development and testing, to implement and verify the functionality and quality of the IT solution, using the appropriate tools, languages, and frameworks.
  • Experience of software deployment and maintenance, to deliver and support the IT solution in the target environment, using the appropriate tools, processes, and practices.
  • Software communication and collaboration, to work effectively with various stakeholders, such as business users, developers, testers, or managers, and to present and explain the IT solution in a clear and concise manner.
  • Software problem-solving and troubleshooting, to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the software lifecycle, using the appropriate methods and techniques.
  • Agile and Project Delivery: Experience delivering technology solutions in both agile and project

AWS Solution Architect-Desirable Experience

  • Skills in Kafka
  • Expertise in SOA, Microservices, REST/WS, XML and JSON
  • Experience in Data Modelling and Analysis using DBS including Postgres and modern JavaScript frameworks such as vue.js.
  • Experience of working with geographically disperse product development teams
  • Knowledge of Modern UX functions including Design System implementations/utilisation
  • Knowledge about the Education Industry and High Stakes Exams business model.

Hybrid working with 1-2 days per week in Cambridge/London with flexibility
