We are supporting a global manufacturer in their search for an additional Maintenance Area Leader to join their team. This position is Monday To Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times. As Area Leader you will take responsibility for a specific area of the factory, working closely with the production team, to implement process improvements and limit equipment downtime.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will assess the need for equipment upgrades and take ownership of projects for your Value Stream. The Maintenance Area Leader is required to be Electrically biased and have a strong background in safety critical maintenance.

Core duties include:
  • Responsibility for Maintenance arrangements for asset upkeep to meet legislative and operating needs within target department
  • Technical authority and maintenance leader for owned asset base
  • Control maintenance of owned assets in a safe, reliable, and available status
  • Arrange and oversee planned maintenance planning, preparation, execution and hand-back to production operations
  • Review daily status of owned assets and proactively prepare plans to prevent unplanned outages
  • Ensure asset performance in line with safety, quality, and productivity expectations
  • Propose Capital Projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Cost control of annual maintenance spend
About you:
  • Recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • 18th Edition electrical qualification
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • Familiarity of multiple engineering disciplines
  • Full computer literacy and experienced with CMMS systems
  • Strong understanding of UK legislation akin to a manufacturing facility
