Orion Rail are looking for a Team Leader to join a well-established Rolling Stock Maintenance and Overhaul depot.

 

Job description for the Team Leader

Responsible for the work planning co-ordination

The daily management of the warm storage team to ensure that all customer requests are met and contractual obligations are fulfilled.

Responsible for managing Warm Storage team operations, activities and personnel at the relevant Depot and customer location(s).

Depot based, but travelling to and from our customers locations to provide warm storage support and work as prescribed by the customer.

Carrying out and recording of start of shift briefs and daily safety meetings and ensuring any issues that are unable to be dealt with are escalated.

Carrying out fitter duties to ensure minimum service levels are achieved.

Updating the customers maintenance management system as required and completing all relevant customer documentation.

Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency

Carry out work as allocated within set timescales and to the recognised standards

Ensuring the wellbeing of all relevant personnel

Carry out any duties within your level of competence as requested by the Depot Manager.

Assisting with continuous improvement innovations

Use of all PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions

Ensuring work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant standards.

 

Qualifications for the  Team Leader

Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Traction and Rolling Stock or a recognised apprenticeship.
