As an Additive Manufacturing Research Engineer, you will:
Experimental Work:
- Research & Development:Contribute to the development of innovative additive manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Laboratory Maintenance:Ensure the upkeep and optimisation of laboratory equipment, particularly PBF/EBM systems.
- Experimental Design:Develop and execute experiments to investigate the fundamental aspects of additive manufacturing processes.
- Data Analysis:Analyse experimental data using statistical methods to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Process Optimisation:Optimise process parameters for a variety of materials to achieve desired outcomes.
Simulation Work:
- Simulation:Utilise simulation tools to model and predict the behaviour of additive manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Experience / Knowledge of laser powder bed or electron beam technology.
- Exposure to Python.
- Strong understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.
- Experience with simulation software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
