Engineering Technician

Location: Hybrid working, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pmSalary: Up to £38,000 per annum

Are you an innovative engineer with a passion for prototyping, testing, and development? We are looking for an Engineering Technician to manage our engineering lab, support prototype assembly, and assist in product development. If you’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in cable harnessing and rapid prototyping, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage lab areas and stores, ensuring equipment calibration is documented and maintained.
  • Assemble and build samples using 3D printing and machining for rapid prototyping.
  • Conduct development, testing, and inspection activities to aid engineering projects.
  • Verify and validate new product designs for manufacturing feasibility.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new products into full production.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Essential:

    • Engineering qualification or experience in a similar technical role.
    • Proven hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing.
    • Background in cable harnessing and assembly.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
    • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Willingness to travel abroad as needed.
  • Desirable:

    • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and machining.
    • Experience with new product introduction.
    • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
