Engineering Technician

Location: Hybrid working, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pmSalary: Up to £38,000 per annum

Are you an innovative engineer with a passion for prototyping, testing, and development? We are looking for an Engineering Technician to manage our engineering lab, support prototype assembly, and assist in product development. If you’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in cable harnessing and rapid prototyping, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage lab areas and stores, ensuring equipment calibration is documented and maintained.
Assemble and build samples using 3D printing and machining for rapid prototyping.
Conduct development, testing, and inspection activities to aid engineering projects.
Verify and validate new product designs for manufacturing feasibility.
Facilitate the introduction of new products into full production.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:
- Engineering qualification or experience in a similar technical role.
- Proven hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing.
- Background in cable harnessing and assembly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel abroad as needed.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and machining.
- Experience with new product introduction.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
