Job Title: Painter/Sprayer (6-Month Rolling Contract) Location: CambridgeContract Type: 6-Month Rolling ContractHourly Rate: Up to £19 per hourInside IR35About the Role:We are currently seeking a skilled Painter/Sprayer to join our team in Cambridge. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in spray painting, looking to contribute to a high-performance team in a precision-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in spray painting with 2k paints and a keen eye for detail to deliver high-quality finishes on both metal and composite parts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of metal and composite parts for painting.
  • Accurate masking of parts in preparation for spray application.
  • Follow technical drawings to ensure precision and quality.
  • Wet spray solid, metallic, and clear paints as required.
  • Provide production updates and communicate with the Team Leader on progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations in the finishing department.

Key Performance Measures:

  • Parts completed per day.
  • Reject rates.
  • Efficiency in meeting production targets.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of previous spray paint experience.
  • Experience using 2k paints.
  • Proficiency in using vibrating hand tools and air-powered spray guns.
  • Ability to measure and mix paint and fillers accurately.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
