Seeking experienced and motivated Surveyors to join a highly successful Energy and Renewables team. With a long tradition of rural land surveyors in sustainability and climate change, this client is growing its energy team across the UK.

Role

Work alongside clients; representing and advising landowners on renewable energy developments and projects. This role principally involves representing landowners, promoting land, evaluating offers and negotiating terms with the preferred developer.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to landowners, promoting their land for renewable energy developments and ensuring their interests are well-represented throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in negotiations with developers, advising on heads of terms and reporting to clients with recommendations.
  • Work closely with colleagues, solicitors, accountants, and other professional advisors to provide the best advice to clients.
  • Conduct regular site visits nationwide to appraise sites, build relationships with clients and meet with developers.
  • Be an active communicator, maintaining professional relationships with clients, providing regular updates on progress and maintaining momentum in negotiations.
  • Contribute to the development of future revenue streams by actively developing business within the Energy and Renewables market
  • Maintain continuing professional development; ensure up to date technical knowledge and business skills.
  • Act as a point of contact for others in the firm and provide sound, accurate advice.
  • Be accountable for sharing technical / professional knowledge with others within own discipline area

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, with a background in representing and advising landowners on renewable energy developments and projects.

MRICS RICS (Desirable but not essential)

Experience in negotiating documentation or commercial leasing negotiations

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office

Any experience with mapping software, preferably GIS

Excellent report writing skills

Friendly and professional approach

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to prioritise and deal with competing deadlines

Strong people skills with an ability to communicate via a range of mediums

Financial acumen and commercial awareness
