Associate Director/Senior - Landscape Planning

£40-65k DOE

Within a growing consultancy, an experienced Landscape Planner at either Senior or Associate Director level is sought to join a highly efficient Landscape team. Specifically looking for candidates with experience in planning, landscape and visual assessment and GIS working on various exciting UK national projects.

The role will require the successful to work alongside an existing team of Landscape Architects so a collaborative approach is essential. You will have a commercial approach combining strategic thinking and practical operational delivery.

So what is required?

  • Chartered Landscape Architect with a minimum 5+ years post qualification
  • Good level of consultancy experience in primarily a landscape planning role with an excellent understanding of planning policy and the planning process
  • Confidence in undertaking site surveys and LVIA / TVIA assessments
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to provide quality assurance for the team
  • Experience of authoring EIA Chapters
  • Self-motivated with an organised approach to managing workload
  • The ability to work well collaboratively in a team, with experience of managing, supporting and mentoring team members at a more junior experience level
  • Good project management skills
  • Experience of preparing landscape strategies, landscape masterplans and LI work stages up to planning
  • Good level of competence using Adobe Suite (Illustrator/InDesign), basic competence in CAD (Autocad)
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to prepare winning fee proposals
  • A full UK driving license with access to your own car for site visits and business requirements
