Job Description
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs to achieve their full potential. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students in understanding and completing their coursework
- Providing one-on-one and group support sessions
- Developing individualized learning plans
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
- Collaborating with teachers and other educational staff
- Supporting students with organizational and time-management skills
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Addressing any barriers to learning
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who possess:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication
Desirable Qualifications:
- A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience working in an educational setting
- Relevant certifications such as TEFL, TESOL, or SEN (Special Educational Needs) qualifications
- First Aid certification
