Our client are a leading food manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality, innovative food products.

They are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within one of their modern food manufacturing sites around the country.

The Role

  • To deliver a great engineering service through the engineering team.
  • To undertake crisis incident management, accident and near miss investigations and ensure that standards of discipline are maintained.
  • To ensure the delivery of the daily engineering activity plan as agreed with production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Rigorously review both chronic and repeat downtime events via a robust RCA process.
  • Ensure that the site is ready for internal and external food safety audits.
  • Ensure that the site is ready for legal engineering compliance audits.
  • Deliver department KPIs and targets on time and in full by effectively using resources.
  • Conduct regular documented 1 to 1 discussion with your team, ensuring constant alignment with personal objectives.

Key Skills/ Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in food manufacturing and Food Safety qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • IEE qualification up to 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • A proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role gained from a FMCG environment (food industry advantageous but not essential)
  • Experience in CI and reliability techniques
