We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with SMT line experience to work for a specialised organisation who work in the field of electronics manufacturing.

This company supply to industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices, and Electronics Manufacturing, and in your new role as Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and quality of the completed electronic assemblies, particularly for applications where high precision and control over the soldering process are required.

The main scope of the role is to ensure all products are manufactured with quality assurance, reliability, scalability, and consistency, along with removing process variability and risk.

You will also be maintaining existing, and implementing new SMT processes, procedures, and documentation to enable operator-based assembly of complex PCBs and complete product assemblies.

Other daily duties will include:

  • Develop & introduce new manufacturing solutions and processes
  • Review existing SMT assembly processes for the existing lines, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Support sales staff, to ensure customers are kept up to speed with requirements and delivery times.
  • Carry out technical assessments including manufacturing timings / costs and identify any specific processes that may affect deliveries.
  • Implementing LEAN Manufacturing techniques
