Im currently working with a company within the education sector who are recruiting for a Facilities Manager

Theyre based in Central Cambridge and are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role who would be able to come into the team and hit the ground running. The role will be working closely with the current Buildings Manager and helping him to run the team.

Typical duties would include:

  • Follow regulations, conduct audits, coordinate training, and stay updated on legislation.
  • Assisting the head of the department with supervising the maintenance team.
  • Arranging for planned preventative maintenance do be completed around the college.
  • Secure buildings, manage keys, patrol campus, handle incidents, and prepare reports.
  • Implementing good working practises throughout the department in order to promote efficiency.
  • Promote welfare, respond to incidents, report concerns, and complete safeguarding training.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Previous experience within a similar facilities or buildings manager role.
  • Able to adapt and be flexible in a variety of difficult situations.
  • Highly organised, able to work independently where required and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with key staff and stakeholders on all levels.
