Fairmead is excited to present an exceptional opportunity on behalf of our valued and longstanding client, a reputable principal contractor based in Cambridge. We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to join their existing team and oversee the final stages of a prestigious new build college project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the project to completion with a focus on high-quality finishes.
  • Oversee all finishing trades, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed work, ensuring all details meet project specifications and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or defects promptly to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.

Requirements:

  • SMSTS or SSSTScertification.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • CSCS card.
  • Extensive knowledge of internal finishes and keen eye for detail.
  • Ideally from a trade background with significant experience in new build or refurbishment projects within the education or commercial sectors.
  • Proven track record of success in similar roles, with strong references to support your application.
  • Ability to work on site 6 to 7 days a week until the end of the contract.
