Freelance Site Manager (Residential Development)

Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Project: 110-unit traditional build houses
Contract: Freelance, 5 days per week on-site



About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance Site Manager to manage the construction of 110 traditional build houses for a reputable residential developer in St Neots. This role will involve overseeing all site operations and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in residential construction, with strong leadership and communication skills.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day site operations for a 110-unit residential development.

  • Ensure all construction works are completed in line with project specifications and quality standards.

  • Oversee subcontractors and suppliers to maintain productivity and timelines.

  • Coordinate site activities, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that work is progressing as planned.



Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential sector, with a focus on traditional build houses.

  • Strong background in site management, with excellent knowledge of building regulations and health and safety standards.

  • Ability to manage and motivate site teams, ensuring efficient and safe site operations.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are required.

  • Experience with timely delivery and budget management.
