As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be making a direct and highly visible contribution to the company’s marketing campaigns, with the aim of presenting Cambridge as a destination of choice for student residential summer programmes. The role will be a wide-ranging brief, with plenty of space to use your energy, creativity and skills to develop effective strategies, plans and ideas across a wide range of marketing initiatives.
Applications are welcome from marketing graduates who have a couple of years of experience and who wish to develop their professional capabilities. You will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to build and maintain a strong brand identity in different markets and a proven track record of planning and executing successful marketing campaigns or events. Knowledge of online marketing channels, including social media, SEO, content marketing and email campaigns is essential, along with the ability to assess data and metrics to measure the success of marketing strategies. A confident communicator, you will have excellent social and networking skills to engage effectively with a diverse audience.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.The hours are full-time, based primarily from home for the majority of the year, however you are required to attend monthly meetings onsite (central Cambridge) and you must and able to commit to attending summer school programmes (as a result, holiday restrictions are in place from mid-June to Mid-August). Some international travel may be required to consolidate new and existing relationships with schools and agencies overseas.
Specific Responsibilities
Coordinate key elements of the company’s marketing campaign including their online presence, marketing materials and website
- Coordinate, plan and oversee regular content creation throughout the year, including social media posts, newsletters and blogs
- Perform the critically important ambassadorial role of presenting the company and its amazing offering to schools, parents and agencies overseas
- Successfully plan and undertake marketing trips worldwide, focusing on nurturing existing and building new relationships with schools, agents and families
- Contribute to the development of the CRM system, including efficient and effective personal contact via phone or email, and other regular communications and promotions to agents, schools and families
- Actively contribute to the company’s marketing strategy
- Increase brand awareness and student numbers to summer programmes by developing new, novel and brave marketing ideas and initiatives
- During the summer programmes, engage with students to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives
- Help support the general administrative functions of the marketing and sales team, including the Assistant Director, Business Operations Manager, Managing Director and other senior managers
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Previous roles in marketing or communications, ideally with experience related to education, the hospitality sector and/or international services
- Understanding global market trends in travel and education and cultural differences and how to build and maintain a strong brand identity in different markets
- Proven track record of planning and executing successful marketing campaigns or events
- Knowledge of online marketing channels, including social media, SEO, content marketing, and email campaigns
- Strong verbal and written skills to create compelling messaging and engage with diverse audiences
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage timelines, and work with various stakeholders
- Familiarity with marketing software (CRM, email marketing platforms, analytics tools) to streamline processes and evaluate campaigns.
- Ability to analyse data and market needs to identify opportunities and challenges
- Experience working collaboratively to align marketing initiatives with organisational goals
- Skills in working with diverse cultures and understanding their unique needs and preferences.
- Experience living, studying, or working abroad, or within multicultural environments that foster global perspective.
