Job Title: Mobile Fabric Engineer

Location: Field-based, covering Cambridgeshire and surrounding regions (Postcodes: CB, SG, LU)

Overview:

We are looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our growing team. This full-time role is based in the field and will cover Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas. You will be working with a range of high street retailers and bank clients to provide both planned and reactive maintenance services. The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, and enjoy variety in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

-Carry out a variety of building fabric maintenance tasks, including:
Patch repairs
Minor plumbing and carpentry
-Painting and decorating
-Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to client specifications.
-Follow health and safety regulations and statutory requirements at all times.
-Perform regular inspections and monitoring of equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
-Respond to client queries, report defects, and keep clients informed during service visits.
-Maintain accurate records of work and service visits, using handheld technology.
-Work independently, but also collaborate with a team when needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

-Level 2/3 City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in relevant trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing).
-Previous experience in a facilities maintenance, retail, or construction environment is ideal.
-Full driving licence is essential for this mobile role.
-IT literate for record-keeping and communication purposes.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Physically fit to carry out the duties of the role.
