We're looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to manufacture consumables products for our Cambridge based client's scientific instruments.

Responsibilities:
* Mechanical assembly of consumables to agreed quality standards ensuring all work is documented
* Inspection of products from start to finish
* Inventory management - maintaining records of stock movements, low stock and assisting with stock takes
* Documentation of build issues and maintenance of build records
* Maintenance of stock records and assisting with stock management
* Packing of products ready for distribution

Requirements:
* Previous experience in an assembly / manufacturing environment building precision equipment
* Minimum GCSE level education, including Maths and English
* IT literate, proficient in MS Word and Excel
* Knowledge of inspection equipment and use of microscopes
* Able to use own initiative and confidently work under minimum supervision
* Good communication skills and able to engage with various teams
* Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to help influence improvements
* Experience with ERP systems within manufacturing and distribution
* Previous experience in the lab / scientific instrument / medical devices industry advantageous
* QC background useful
* Able to adapt to changing requirements and work flexibly within the team
