Electronics Technician - North Cambridge £(phone number removed) + Bonus

 

A client of nGenium are looking to hire a Electronics technician to work on the assembly, production, and test their scientific devices. The successful engineer will be building a dedicated pilot line for the assembly and test of the device and the successful candidate will be part of the set up and operation of this facility.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Assembly of PCBs within devices.

• Test of accelerometers with production test procedures.

• Packaging of devices.

• Clear documentation and stock keeping of accelerometers including ordering parts.

• Recording of test results and data entry.

• Quality control of product.

 

Experience required:

 

• Science or Engineering graduate or equivalent work experience of more than 2 years in electronics/laboratory environment/cleanroom.

• Electronics and PCB soldering and assembly.

• Data analysis using a programming language such as python.

• Experience with automation of test equipment would be an advantage. e.g. with the use of python or labview.

 

Other requirements:

 

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to function as part of a team.

• Proactive personality.

• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills.

• An excellent working knowledge of English.

• Ability to travel to device production facilities and customer site visits.
