Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the existing risk control environment, ensuring management processes are consistently applied and improved.
  • Provide operational support to payments risk management and BAU activities, ensuring delivery against objectives and SLAs.
  • Implement and develop quality assurance processes as part of the first line of defence, ensuring strong risk control measures.
  • Conduct risk control assessments, including self-assessments and framework development, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
  • Build and refine BAU operational tasks, collaborating with risk management teams to develop a robust risk framework.
  • Work closely with newly recruited team members to establish and embed risk management strategies.
  • Act as a standalone contributor with a strategic mindset, capable of navigating complex processes and implementing best practices from scratch.
  • Support the development of a bespoke risk management platform, ensuring all processes and tools are effectively implemented and utilised.
  • Engage in scenario-based risk management discussions and assessments as part of the recruitment and operational framework.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in payments, consulting, or business services, with strong operational exposure.
  • Proven experience in risk management, quality control and assurance, preferably within a fintech or payments environment.
  • Strong understanding of transaction processing and risk control frameworks.
  • Experience developing risk control frameworks and BAU processes from scratch is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in undefined, fast-paced environments, demonstrating a self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work transparently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of committing to deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Preferably experience in fintech or startup environments, navigating complex and evolving regulatory landscapes.
